Problem with MintInstall

Post by a2007 »

Hello All.
I'm not able to run mintInstall for some reason.
This is the terminal output:

user@user-laptop:~$ mintInstall
warnings.warn("apt API not stable yet", FutureWarning)
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/linuxmint/mintInstall/mintInstall.py", line 426, in <module>
home = sys.argv[3]
IndexError: list index out of range

Any ideas how to deal with this?
Thanks in advance!
A

You're not supposed to run mintInstall from the command line, use Firefox and click on the link and then the download button.
The output you show is normal if you run mintInstall from the command line - if you want to make a mint file is another story
