Completely new user here, I've went trough the other related topics and found no answer, or am unable to identify and apply the correct answer.
I've updated my Drivers and the Kernel.

As the title states my Dell P2419H Monitor isn't picked up by the OS I believe. This is the system info

Re: Second Monitor Input via HDMI not working.

Post by axrusar »

Hi welcome to the forums.

Have you tried the basics, like using a different HDMI cable, check the monitor is set to the correct input source?
You can post the output of the following command:

Code: Select all

xrandr
Linux Mint Una Cinnamon 20.3 Kernel: 5.15.x | Quad Core I7 4.2Ghz | 24GB Ram | 1TB NVMe | Intel Graphics

The HDMI cable is fine, I know for a fact since it's in either in my Desktop PC or my work Mac M1.

Also when I connect it to this Lenovo E16 the screen reacts and says no input signal from device.

This is the output of the xrandr comand

Code: Select all

... Solved. I actually didn't push the cable far enough due to ports being rigid as the laptop is new :D.

Disgraceful.
