You're welcome. Sorry I wasn't able to help you to get it to work. Maybe someone else with this (or a similar) computer might have other ideas.

I had a similar problem.

Use the terminal command:

alsamixer -D hw:0

and turn on all things you can. Use only arrow keys to navigate NO Fx keys.

I got my sound back in this way.
