Hello!
Some week ago all short cuts involving the Ctrl button stopped working.
So I can't use Ctrl+S to save for instance or Ctrl+I to make something italic.
This is quiet annoying I have discovered, I use it a lot.
I am not sure but it could have been sometime when I changed keyboard layout to my own language, Swedish.
Does anybody have any clue here?

I did not found that post before.
The problem is now solved, following your advice. It was as you said a function i Compiz that were set to be activated by only the Ctrl button. Or more accurately Ctrl + <Multikey>. But in the settings only Ctrl is highlighted.
