The latest stable linux kernel for LMDE5 is available => 5.18.0-0.bpo1

5.18 is available but hardly usable, nvidia-proprietary won't build modules for it and there's also a distinctly large list of amdgpu modules missing and no virtualbox support for it yet. Just putting this note here as a word of caution for anyone considering upgrading to it from 5.10 or 5.16
I’ll tell you a DNS joke but be advised, it could take up to 24 hours for everyone to get it.

I tried to upgrade my kernel to version 5.16, unfortunately the kernel-headers is no longer available in the repository, which is necessary to run virtualbox, had no other choice to install the latest version, the 5.18.

I test this version, and return back to 5.10 stable kernel, waiting for a 5.18 kernel update, which still has support issues at this time.
