Nikon Coolpix

Post by awcreamsoda »

I've been using Mint for a couple of months and the only thing I have been having a consistant problem with is getting Mint to see the storage media, "SD," on the camera. It's got me stumped if I put the secure digital in an adapter one of those funny little see all media expansion bays it works just fine but it would be nice to get them right off the camera. Truthfully that's the only thing keeping me from ditching Windows.

it is not the sd card in the camera it is the camera.

some cameras let the sd card be seen directly as a usb storage device.
other cameras want to but in and so you need PTP drivers from some library to access the camera that then lets you see the photos.

some photo apps make sure both drivers are install with it others dont.

I use F-spot.
