Characters not displaying properly.

I have an issue where a lot of special characters aren't properly displayed. For example bpytop displays an empty square instead of lines that it usually does, but in CTRL + ALT + F1 it displays a rhombus where there used to be filled squares.

Before this issue occurred, i had uninstalled LightDM (to try something else) and then installed slick-greeter again (i realized lightdm wasnt the greeter my system was using later on)

This issue persists on discord (flatpak) but not on firefox or floorp.
Also urxvt can display *some* characters that discord cannot.

Locale settings isn't the issue, i've tried that.
Font is also not the issue as the characters were being displayed as intended before this issue occurred.

I had tried installing some glyph fonts but so far nothing fixed my issue.

EDIT: on tty1 i ran cava and then bpytop, that's why i had unexpected characters, because it changed the font. However i still am trying to resolve the discord and termiinal issue. (i use urxvt, gnome-terminal seems to display all the characters well)
