LMDE6 Networking

Post by davbar »

I am currently using LMDE6 on my Asus PB50 mini computer with AMD processor and very happy with LMDE6 and the performance.

I have encountered a problem I cannot solve and would be very thankful possible solution or directions to research.

I recently connected a USB drive on my router as my in-house cloud. I have successfully installed the drive and can see it in Nemo.

My Problem: I use financial software (Moneydance) that can be used in WIndows, Mac, or Linux.
In Windows I can save both the user file and backup to my router USB, but in LMDE6 when I go to save the file or backup the router USB or any other USB connected are not offered.

When I was using pCloud for storage, this was offered in Moneydance.

Can't see the trees for the Forrest!!

I'm going to base my response on these comments:
I recently connected a USB drive on my router as my in-house cloud.
I have successfully installed the drive and can see it in Nemo.
If you can "see" it in Nemo it will mount under the following location:
/run/user/1000/gvfs

Thank you for the quick response.

Your direction was perfect. Still learning the legacy fill systems.
I should have seen it when needing to configure to NT1 for my router.

Thank you!!
