Detective RooTz sorry to say this but one can almost see that you are a young teenager from your desktop and the image in your signature
At 15 you love (big) boobs, most men grow up and get a better perspective on this and other matters
Unfortunately there are quite a few that does not grow up...
The image in your signature is not appropriate and will be deleted
I have received complaints about it

Here it is!
Clicking preview takes you to download page at deviantART - click dowmload on the left side to get full sized image.
Set as wallpaper on my netbook, with red background color.
Maybe the contrast should be a little sharper, I'll try to find the time tomorrow, I'll keep you posted!

That's sweet. I always wanted xfce. What did you do downloadit via the package manager or synaptic? Then just ran it and selected a theme and made it the default by like xfce --replace???
Or is this a whole nother version of the mint 8? Like there's gnome, etc?

DetectiveRootz: Thanks. Mint 7 Xfce is its own distro, with an .iso that you can download from the main site. There is a way to switch DEs without a fresh install, but I've no idea how to do it.
Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
As far as I understand it,2 Desktop Environments can be installed at the same time, just add the second one via synaptic package manager.
Then,at the beginning of each session, you are asked which one you want to use.

I'm earning my red ring lately (you win a no-prize if you get that reference ) so decided to trick out my desktop machine with some nice racy red.

Been using Fedora recently, though I love Mint and the team. Always coming back to this thread too, heh.
Here's my most recent desktop. The conky still needs a lot of work.

Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
Some people on the irc channel were wondering what my desktop looked like.

LinuxMint 8 KDE CE with KDE 4.4.0, stock theme, just added the pager and a few handy icons. The wallpaper is "Resting Sparrow". I got the wallpaper from here.

I just liked the photo, I see those little birds outside all the time and I watch them looking for crumbs outside at work. My Daughter told me I needed a less geeky looking desktop too.
