Hi,
my name ist Timo and I live in Lingen in the northwestern part of Germany. I am completly new to Linux Mint, even though I tried out different Linux distros (mainly Ubuntu) over the years. But in the last - hm, let's say ten - years I used Windows only as my daily driver both for work and at home.
I wanted to switch to Linux for quiet a while and now finally did it. From all the distros that I checked out over the last 3 or so months, Linux Mint seems to offer the most things, that are important to me. In addition to that, I really like the cinnamon desktop so far.
I already spent several hours on reading here in the forum. And I think, I'll easily spent hundrets of hours here over the upcoming months and years. So much interesting Input...
Greetings,
Timo

Moin moin,
and welcome! I agree that Mint is a great choice out of the box. Cinnamon makes the switch from Windows really easy. May I recommend you have a look at the newly added "actions" for quality of life improvements (e.g. you can make a right click on the desktop and have an option to launch your system setting directly or right click on a document to print it immediately without opening the doc).
Have fun und bis bald
