[SOLVED] Win7 problems

Hiyall,
I normally can create a VB with little trouble. I am now trying to install Win7 Home Premium (with rego number) Guest on a LM Cinnamon 21.2 Host on a Thinkpad T440p. Win7 and Oracle Extension pack are installed however I don't see the Oracle 'window' (with menu at the top and icons at bottom right). I am running Oracle's latest 7.0 and the equivalent extension pack.

Is this a Win7 problem or an Oracle problem or a user problem?

Option 1. Hold down the right-hand Ctrl key and tap the Home key. That should bring up a little VB menu.

Option 2. To get the menu to show normally, make the following changes in the VM settings:
Under User Interface, ensure the View button is active and tick the two checkboxes for Mini Toolbar

I found both options worked for me with Win10 guest under VB6.1 but I have a Mint guest where only option 1 works. Not sure why.

My Everyday computer looks like this;

Note the menu top left and blinking icons bottom right both of which are missing on the 'problem' laptop.

Try
Right Ctrl key + F (get you out of Full Screen Mode)
Right Ctrl key + C (get you out of Scale Mode)
Right Ctrl key + L (get you out of Seamless Mode)

Right Ctrl key + Home should give you a Menu Bar without actually exiting the view mode..

Right Ctrl key + F (get you out of Full Screen Mode) = Shows bottom right icons but reduced sized desktop
Right Ctrl key + C (get you out of Scale Mode) = Gets me back to the original problem desktop
Right Ctrl key + L (get you out of Seamless Mode) = does nothing
Right Ctrl key + Home should give you a Menu Bar without actually exiting the view mode. = nothing in here makes a permanent change.

You then need to go to the Menu bar, View - Adjust Window Size & use the mouse to drag back to a full screen.
It might take a couple of tries for this to work - I have no idea why, but it does work eventually..

In theory, going to View - Auto Resize Guest Display after you have done Ctrl + F should get you to where you want to be, but that has never ever worked for me..

Just tried this on my Mint VM and your suggestion worked, thanks. Oddly enough with LM1.3 the window for login is smaller but adjusts itself to desired size after logging in.

In fact, it was an incompetent IT tech problem!
I deleted it and re-installed and it works as it should.
