Hello,
My wired connection on my windows10 machine is pulling 400-500Mbs on Ookla speed test. This linux box had an "n" model wireless adapter that my roommate advised me was terribly old and cannot handle the 500Mb connection at my house. The wireless nic card was pulling 12Mb. I just grabbed a cat 5 cable and plugged the linux box directly into the modem, got a wired connection confirmed and am on the net, but an ookla speed test showed I am now pulling 4Mb.
How on earth is this possible while directly connected to the modem?
Can anyone please help?
