could you please send you system information? You can find it in "System Reports > System Information > Copy".
Also, please give us any errors these commands give:

Hey,
cool to hear it works again. Maybe just run an upgrade (in the Update Manager or run in a terminal).
If it happens again, you could also look for for maybe overloaded RAM. Or just tell us again.
