<SOLVED> Is there a manual on how to create Applets for Linux Mint?

Post by kaycz »

I'm using the Linux Mint Cinnamon version with Mutter WM, and there's a thing called Applets, I wanted to try to learn how to create Applets, such as an icon in the panel to open a folder just like the Trash Applet that does it with trash folder, but I wanted to try doing that with other folders, could anyone point me to a direction on what to look for/read to be able to do such things? Appreciate all the help :)

I moved your topic to Programming & Development. There may be other topics as well, but check the following:
Developing Applets for the Cinnamon Desktop
Cinnamon Spices tutorials
Applet development and documentation
