Pre-installed apps

Post by CacasL »

How are apps selected to be included, e.g. LibreOffice, (or not, e.g. Dayon!) as pre-installed in Lknux Mint?

Is there a committee deciding, or a voting by users, or what?

I would like to propose an app to be included in future realeases.

The Linux Mint developers select which apps are pre-installed. Apps of use to, likely, a majority of Linux Mint users. Pre-installed apps increase the size of the ISO so it has to be a tight selection and not every app you need can be pre-installed. But Software Manager makes it easy to install other apps you need, such as Dayon! that you can install from there.

Don't waste your time. They'll never read it. Just install the flatpak if you want it so much.
