It's not what I thought. Does it help if you reload the driver?:
Code: Select all
sudo modprobe -r wl && sudo modprobe wl && systemctl restart NetworkManager

I don't, but someone else might. I assume you tried restarting your router & machine?

How is this a driver or hardware issue with this particular Mint machine?
If other devices(!) experience a slowdown over WiFi but your machine connected over Ethernet does not, then this sound to me like QoS prioritizing by your router.

Yup tried everything nothing works, i think it's a driver issue because it used to work well on Windows alsoooo bad network bandwidth control on this wireless card

You can try a different driver:
Code: Select all
sudo apt remove bcmwl-kernel-source && sudo apt install firmware-b43-installer
Reboot

When you say you installed the driver, were you having a problem with the wifi before you installed the driver?
Drivers are contained within the kernel, so it's rare that you have to install a driver.

I mean the driver wasn't installed so i had to install it from the driver manager, i was using ethernet to download the driver, when using ethernet there wasn't any problem no slow down, even downloading didn't affect it but after installing and using the wifi driver, using it normally to browse the Internet works fine doesn't slow down the Internet but when downloading anything the Internet slows down on every device
