Linux Mint doesn't pick up Headphones (JBL QUantum 610) as an output device, only as an input device

Post by Schimmeltoast08 »

so as the title suggests, I recently installed Linux mint (virginia) cinamon version 6.0.4 to dual boot with windows 10. I noticed that my headphones aren't working on Linux, only Windows. I tried everything suggested in pervious blog posts already (pulse audio control, input / output switcher, resetting the settings, trying different USB Ports, re-pairing the headphones, using a cable, ...) yet it doesn't pick it up as output device. My Microphone on the headset works fine, but I don't hear any audio through them. System settings -> Audio -> Output confirms that it isn't available as an output. The JBL Quantum engine itself also doesn't recognize the headphones. Has anyone any suggestions? Thank you already in advance.

here is my system info:

you need kernel 6.2 for it to pick it up
