A couple of days ago I installed Linux Mint 21.3 on an Dell tower pc, overwriting that god-awful Windows 7 operating system.
Machine spec: Intel i-7 Sandy Bridge processor clocking at around 3.6GHz, a 1TB Hard Drive, but only 8Gb Ram. No WiFi, no Bluetooth, no speakers.
Plugged in a WiFi dongle, Mint detected it straight away and I was able to connect to my home network and the Internet.
Brilliant, so far so good.
I then installed Warpinator on this machine and Winpinator on my Win11 machine. Had a bit of trouble getting them to communicate until I discovered you can't have both apps set to autodetect. One or the other must have its Network Interface selected manually. After that I was able to transfer thousands of music, video, e-book and MS docs. I left it running overnight to complete the transfer. No crashes, no errors, no problems.
Plugged in a pair of powered speakers and am listening to some blues music as I type.
Plugged in a Bluetooth dongle and it has been detected. Can't seem to connect to BT Speakers or headphones yet, but I know mine are notoriously difficult to get connected.
So far Mint appears to be dead stable and the best Linux distro I've tried.

Re: Hi Guys
Yeah! Got my Bluetooth speakers working!
To be honest I'm not sure what I did other than disable every other Bluetooth device in the house (2 phones, 2 iPads, 1 XP netbook and 1 Win11 PC).
Speakers now trusted by Bt manager and reconnect easily.
