So I got a Dell R710 server a couple years ago just so I could recycle some hardware and get a NAS up and running. I have the PERC H700 card and I am trying to get my virtual drives to work under Mint.
My setup is the R710 with the H700, I have two 4TB HDD's in the array, and I have one portable USB hard drive with Mint on it. When I initialize the array of my two discs into one with RAID 1 configuration, the OS can recognize that the virtual drive is there, however when I go to make a partition to work on this system, it crashes whether I'm in the disc configuration or if I'm in gparted. any help would be appreciated, feel free to ask any questions and I will give you answers to them ASAP, including error messages and logs.
Virtual Drive on PERC H700 won't format?
