21.3 Edge - after last update it won't sleep.

Post by Kris345 »

Don't remember what the update was.
I can manual sleep it with the Menu button.

Re: (SOLVED) 21.2 Edge - after last update it won't sleep.

Post by Kris345 »

solved
I did not realize there was a 21.3 - installed it and tested and works fine.

with my settings,
ctrl-alt-L, get dimmed screen with clock, 5 min later, screen goes to black, another 5 min and screen flashes some info and laptop goes to sleep. Perfect.

don't know what was wrong - don't care.
Again, Mint gets 10 out of 10.
Thanks all.

Re: (nope) 21.2 Edge - after last update it won't sleep.

Post by Kris345 »

Unfortunately it's happening again. I do not believe I took any updates since it was working. I did activate the applet for Bing wallpaper instead of using variety.

I leave the desktop. After 5 min the lock screen appears but the display does not shut off. 5 min later it does not go to sleep.
ELSE
I press Alt-Ctl-L and the lock screen pops up and sits there forever.
