Acer Aspire 5: Command to turn off keyboard backlight

Post by ReaderGuy42 »

There's a FN key to turn the keyboard backlight on my Acer Aspire 5 on/off. But because Linux doesn't seem to read those keys, I can't just simulate that keystroke to automate turning off the backlight, which is what I'm trying to do.

I've tried various solutions found online, but none seem to work for my hardware.

Any ideas on a command to turn off the keyboard backlight?

Thanks!
