Microphone input not being detected

Hello,

As the title suggests, my microphone input is not being detected. This goes for the built in microphone on my razer laptop, as well as my physical headset. All audio output works fine, its just the input.

Note: my microphone (at least on the headset) is being detected, but no audio is being read.

So far I have tried installing pavucontrol and tweaking the settings there but could not get the microphone input to be read.

Can you test sound with alsamixer command
and with Audacity app?

Can you show from command lsusb output,
when devices are connected?

What kernel do you have? There are most drivers there.
Can you try test other kernel with kernel manager ?
