XED cursor just turned BLACK -- Oops pressed Insert Key

Post by AZgl1800 »

XED has always shown me the cursor position, but never as a solid black Rectangle.

I just noticed this tonight, it was not there yesterday.

any idea what happened?
two updates came through, most of them were Flatpaks, but I never look to see what the others were.

You pressed the insert key by mistake.

ah.....
that makes sense, as I typed a line of Gibberish, and had to delete the whole line.

that happens when the keyboard slides sideways on me, and I just start "touch typing"
I am trying to retrain my fingers, to find the "home key" tits before I blindly rattle off 125 words per minute....
