Tonight was a night of triumph with coaxing scripts out of online resources. Here is wallpaper #7 the current static wallpaper of my workspace 2, featuring my graphically customized victor conky and in the bottom right of monitor 1, the fruits of tonights labors, my new python3 generated workspace monitor/switcher which is scripted to use dj1s' saving project for themes, icon sets, wallpapers, cursor-style, and desktop icons saved to individual workspaces.

Im having amazing fun with it :)

cursor-style: DMZ-Black
GTK: Mint-Y-Dark-Red
Icons: Yaru-red-dark
Theme: Mint-Y-Dark-Red

Wallpaper #7

I found an awesome trash icon to match my 3D art red predominating set of panel icons. What a great site!

Image
I just didnt like the thin arrows of the recycle logo on this trashcan so I found an image with thicker arrows and colored and resized them in GIMP, then set them on a background with a red to red gradient that matched the gradient on the waste basket. I am really happy with how it turned out:

You referring to last night's prompt to update kernel in the Software Manager?

I have never owned or worked with a Raspberry Pi although I have seen mention of them on android and PC forums for years. I need to read up on them and improve my awareness of the tech. Was the latest kernel something the device wasn't expected to support that you made happen?

Moderator note: Reminding all that this topic is for screenshots of one's desktop and not general chat about hardware/operating systems not related to Linux Mint.

No. The reference is to RC4 (release candidate 4) for the mainline 6.9 Linux kernel. Release candidates are versions which are made prior to the final release. Linux Mint does not use mainline kernels.

Per the screenshot thatchunkylad198966 is running Ubuntu and not Linux Mint so what they did is not related to anything in Update Manager.

I was wondering about the ubuntu, and was going to ask if he was dual OS with Mint actually!

I got an edit online for a python3 script I run to scroll different sets of wallpapers based on workspace. I am going to put the abstract/art/fractals on workspace 2. Here is wallpaper #11

This is one of the most beautiful desktops I've seen. The icon set really matches the wallpaper well.
Now that I am running multiple workspaces, I would like to try to replicate a version of this!

By any chance do you still have links to the wp and icon set?
I agree that is one lovely desktop.
