I would long ago given up on this, installed VirtualBox in W10 and then installed Mint in VB and been running it as a VM guest.

The same thing that I do on macs that have insurmountable issues (such as sound and/or radeon gpus) with a hardware linux install.

Hardware manufacturers can (and do) things that make an installed and fully functioning linux nearly impossible.
