My conky has stopped showing a font

Hello everyone,

I installed a font of technology icons, and it shows up in GIMP as an installed font. It displayed fine on my conky for a full day, now all of a sudden, it is displaying blank rectangles even though the font still shows as installed, and I have a copy of the .ttf in the conky widget folder itself.

The characters display fine in the conkyrc:



but they do not display on the conky itself:



I have reinstalled the font 4 times, I have done a sudo fc-cache terminal command, I have restarted conky, I have rebooted the computer, nothing works. How did the characters display fine onscreen for a full day then suddenly become unknown character symbols?

I downloaded the Material Design Icons Desktop font and found all the icons from the non working font plus a few I liked better as replacements.

My grapes is showing the images again. I guess the site that generated the icon font install for me gave me a bad file.
