in wayland session touchpad gesture not working

Hello, guys. In my Mint OS, it was using X11, but after I switched to Wayland, the touchpad gestures stopped working for things like workspace switching. However, gestures in Firefox, such as pinch-to-zoom, are still working. I can access the gesture settings, but they don’t seem to work. The touchpad gestures work fine in X11, but they don’t work in Wayland. Is there any way to fix this problem? By the way, I’m using an ASUS Vivobook laptop. (mint os 22)

As indicated in WAYLAND - read this first!, Cinnamon on Wayland is still alpha stage experimental and you should expect there will be things which will not work.

In Cinnamon, gesture support uses the Touchegg which only supports X11 at the current time. If you go through the issues on GitHub, you'll find Replace touchegg with libinput-gestures and gestures as the default gesture management packages for the Cinnamon desktop environment under Wayland and possibly X11/X.Org as well. #99 you'll find some options you can try in Wayland.

I do not know what Firefox is using for gesture support.
