Everyday freeze: multiple boots :(

Post by hatueyhack »

Hello.

Everyday, I am facing problems booting my box, which is driving me crazy.

In each boot, the computer freeze loading different process until I do a hard shutdown.

Hey, I see you're having an issue with boot as I did and found out about a command (which then would include the info that you had to take a photo of a part of):
To get all the last boot kernel boot messages, type on terminal:

Code: Select all

dmesg
If you want only alert/critical/error/warning messages:

Code: Select all

dmesg -l alert,crit,err,warn

Will it show the last message (that will "fine" as I can boot) or I can search for the last but one (for the last failed boot)?

Look at the date and timestamp to track the last boot.

Hi.

The last freeze was just now. I run both command, as suggested, but didn't find anything about timestamp.

Attached are the screen and one log (the other one couldn't be attached due to size restrictions).

Oops, sorry. You are right.

Run this command instead:

Code: Select all

dmesg --level=err,warn -T
Much better IMO.

Dell's latest UEFI is version 1.18.0 and indicates, "- Maintains stability of 13th and 14th generation Intel processors." which is what you have. Perhaps that will help with the issue you are experiencing.
