This is a somewhat unique problem that I hope someone here can help me with.
As of today I'm a proud new owner of Linux Mint 8.0 "Helena". I'm running it on my laptop, which is set up with a dual boot-other OS is Ubuntu 10.4 (beta). The first time I installed Ubuntu, I was able to get my hands on an ethernet cable and use a wired network connection to download the broadcom drivers i needed to connect to a wireless network. In my current location, I have no access to any such thing, and I'm having no luck with any of the suggestions on the internet elsewhere.
I know that somewhere inside my ubuntu install, the drivers i need are nestled away. Can I just mount my ubuntu partition in mint and copy them into the appropriate directory in mint?
Sorry for such a vague question but any help would be much appreciated.
lspci result (i THINK this is the appropriate line...run in ubuntu):
Any other information y'all need just let me know, thanks in advance =)0b:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4311 802.11b/g WLAN (rev 01)
