[SOLVED] Linux Mint 9 wont boot on my laptop INSYS Gameforce

Hello to all. I have an odd problem.
I have downloaded and made the md5check on LM9 dvd version and burned the image. When I try to boot it gives me the grub menu, I select to start LM9 and then it only loads casper/vmlinux an then casper/initrd.lz. I can see the dots on the screen. Next, the screen blinks and the word "Ready." appears. the blink cursor stays on the top left of the screen, the DVD stops and nothing more.
The stange thing is that i have installed on Hd (and working) Windows 7 and LM8.
My laptop is an Clevo M761SU.
In safe mode it wont start (I have tried)
Can anyone help me with this one???

Update to all owners of Gameforce: You need to download the latest bios from http://files.insys.pt/Portateis/G.Force ... 61SU/BIOS/ insys.
Update the bios following the instructions, don't forget to reboot after each update. Then you can enjoy the new Linux Mint. I have tried that and it works... Now you can enjoy this fantastic Operating System.

Vá a http://files.insys.pt/Portateis/G.Force ... 61SU/BIOS/ e faça o download da BIOS. Actualize conforme as instruções e não se esqueça do reboot após cada actualização. Já pode desfrutar deste fantástico Sistema Operativo.

Thanks oscar799, I was begining to get worried with this... I gave my help by asking Clem to create a portuguese translation team for LM that i am member. I worked hard on that and at the end i couldn't enjoy this new version??? Impossible... but now all issues are solved.

Eu também tenho uma máquina dessas e actualizei a bios. Mint 9 a correr OK. Fiquei foi com um problema qualquer no w7. Adiante... Podias dizer-me se é necessário instalar alguma driver para a placa gráfica da nvidia (aparentemente está tudo ok, mas depois de instalar o Google earth, aparereceu-me uma mensagem a dizer que se não instalasse o controlador que o earth ia ficar muito lento e tal... Se sim, onde, como e qual? (já fui aos drivers de hardware e aparecem-me lá 2 (ma tal de 173 e outra custom)

Bem, eu não utilizei o 173 que já é antigo mas sim o outro. Também podes ir ao site da nvidia e sacar http://www.nvidia.co.uk/content/DriverD ... pe=GeForce que é a versão 195 isto funciona... A minha única dificuldade neste momento é ligar a uma rede WPA2-Enterprise, meto o certificado, utilizador e senha mas não consigo ligar, embora veja a rede.

Funciona 5 estrelas. Não fiz nadinha... liguei o modem, esperas 30 segundos, a luz passa a vermelha... continuas a aguardar, a luz passa a verde e tá pronto a ligar. Zero problemas com o ZTE MF622
