Can't find previously installed OS

So I am new to Linux and am trying to install Mint, but I have seem to stumbled upon a bit of a problem. And yes I have tried to search the forum, but no luck

So I am trying to dual boot Windows 7 and Mint with Windows 7 installed already. I use the Live CD for Isadora and when I try to install the OS, I can't find an option to install side by side with Windows 7. it seem to show me that my hard drive is completely empty. Can someone please help me with this problem so I can test out Linux :)

Try running gParted in the menu to pre-partition the drive before running the installer. If gparted doesn't see the Windows partition, there is something wrong with the partition setup on the drive, try correcting this in Windows first.

Well Gparted didn't see anything either, and on the windows side when I partition a piece off my HD. Mint still couldn't see any partition at all. Weird

Have you run chkdsk /f in windows? You will need to provide more info about your partitions and drive setup. The partition info can be the output of sudo fdisk -l from the livecd.

Hello all,
I find this problem too,
I now open linux mint 9 by virtualbox in windows 7 and I installed mint 8 in my computer too
when I click install linux mint founds no partition
how can this happen?
when I installed Helena I hadn't found this problem
Please help. :D
