Hello friends. I'm not new to Linux, been playing around with it for about a year now. I'm getting better, but I still need lots of help from those with more technical knowledge than me. Started with Ubuntu, worked my way through xubuntu, mepis, a look at Fedora, I'll test just about anything that catches my eye.
I switched from Ubuntu to Mint because I wanted VLC by default and the media codecs to make it work. I mostly use my computer for e-mail and internet and playing music and DVDs. Mint does all these things well and allows me to keep using my Dell Dimension 3000 with its Celeron D processor and 1.5 Gig of memory even after MS has passed it by.
Thanks for the work everyone puts in and I hope to learn a great deal and help when I can!
Regards,
SD in TN
