Have been a Linux fan for awhile now. Freespire XP till the support ran out and now LinuxMint!!!!!!!
This operating system rocks!
Recently I was taking classes for becoming a "Certified Microsoft Professional" ( re training for new job skills)....I had forgotten how bad Microsoft operating systems were.
Just the hoops and dance that XP Pro required for loading was enough to make me think "what ever have I done"...
This was a Microsoft sponsored school and the "Rap" was thick......First thing out of one of the instructors mouth was " stay away from any and all open source material. It will only cause problems".
My thoughts on that statement were "ya right....and politicians are honest too"
For the most part a factory to produce Microdrones.....and of course the bottom line is "Pay Bill" and those that follow may get a few crumbs if ya act right.
It was a good background for the how and whys of operating systems,networks,how the internet works, etc. and seeing as I had no proper instruction up to that time I did get a lot out of it.
BUT...............Microsoft anything really does leave a lot to be desired, and it costs a bunch for everything.....What a racket!...
And they get away with it because people either do not know the difference or care enough to look elsewhere...
Well enough of my rant.....
Glad to be here and will look into what is available to ponder on the forum.
