Thunderbird doesn't check messages when launched

Hi,

I have installed Mint 10 cleanly (disks formating after backup my datas). I have then configured TB. Everything is good except that TB doesn't check my mailboxes when I launch it. I must ask it to verify boxes manually. So, after, it checks every 20mn (as I programmed in parameters). Of course I have checked the "Check for new messages at startup" option.
Everything was ok with the same parameters in my last mint 9.

As somebody has an idea ?

if you go into TB and edit the mail account settings, under the receive options tab there is an option to check on startup

If you have your account organised into folders they might not update. I had to go to each folder, right click, and tell it to check the folder for new messages.

@hemimaniac. I have 6 accounts. All of them are checked at "Check for new messages at startup"" (see the picture below)

@Azrael. I don't know exactly what means "organised into folder". All accounts are in the column at the left of TB screen.

Can you start thunderbird from terminal. If it has any error, you'll see it there

Hi,

No problem to launch TB from the terminal. But no more checking at the opening.

I really don't understand what happens.
