It makes my LAN networking work

Post by Kent88 »

Hey, new here, but have been using Mepis since about 2006/2007.

Been keeping an eye on mint since, well, shortly after it appeared on the scene, but have never really had much reason to switch until I built a new machine with an intel motherboard that had a built in LAN port that Mepis 11 'alpha 4' and Kubuntu 10.10 don't seem to recognize right off the bat. Instead of going through the hassle of finding the driver, I listened to some advice from a friend of mine and tried out a liveUSB of Mint 9 KDE, and it works, so here I am.
