Updates

Post by IndyUK »

Hi,

I was wondering whether there is a method of controlling which updates are applied to my Mint distro? What I mean by this that instead of having a scenario where you turn them off completely (as per 3.1), I'd like to update everything except kernel ones. The problem is when I do a apt-get update and apt-get upgrade, it updates everything.

Any ideas?

Open Synaptic -> Select package
In the Menu Item, click Package - > Locl Version .

Too much Update

For me, Mint do have not to alarm any update too frequently if they are not authentic repositories.

P.S. Don't mind about my words. Just a opinion.
