could not find kernel image: linux

Post by xieu90 »

Hi everyone
I downloaded new 32 bit LMDE version and burned the iso to dvd.
on my laptop it boots and runs --> dvd is ok
but when I try to install on my computer I got that error.
what could the problem be ? how can I solve it ?

my laptop : Intel core 2 duo
SATA HDD

my computer : AMD athlon 64 X2 4600+ (if I remember well)
ATA HDD

on my laptop if I enable ACHI mode for HDD then it boots, if I use compatible mode then I wont be able to boot any version of mint (mint 6 7 8 9 10, debian)
so could it because of my ata hdd ?
