Re: My New Linux Mint LMDE desktop
Here's mine. Nothing fancy, just dual monitors and some Screenlets.
Re: My New Linux Mint LMDE desktop
Here is my fairly plain desktop, while I stretch my systems legs building an aosp rom for the fascinate.
Re: My New Linux Mint LMDE desktop
@nemesis2all
Looks like that rom building is really taking some intensive computing. 8 cores running at 100%, wow. I assume it is a quad core with hyperthreading or such.

Re: My New Linux Mint LMDE desktop
That is correct. Core I7-860. Rom building does really tax your system. If I build on my ssd I can get the time down to around 15 mins. Most computers take around 45 mins to an hour to build.dawgdoc wrote:@nemesis2all

Re: My New Linux Mint LMDE desktop
Not much changes on my LMDE desktop.
LMDE set to 'testing' with an upgraded generic 2.6.37 Linux kernel.
I went with a 'retro' Mint wallpaper (with a minor modification +debian swirl) A simple, yet elegant 2-color Conky.
I like my 'desktop' simple, minimal, dark . . . just does what I want the OS to do and stays out of my way.
Side-note: I do not have only 1.00 GHz Freq. ... that is the 'Energy-Saving Mode' Normally, runs with 2.9 GHz Frequency.
Re: My New Linux Mint LMDE desktop
I really like the colors you used with conky. Mind letting me know what color codes you used or could you paste your conky script?vrkalak wrote:

Also, my uptime is usually measured in 'weeks' and not hours.
