Login Noise on Windows Network

Post by seag33k »

I generally run Ubuntu, but thought I'd give mint a try. So far it seems really nice except for the fact that I am seeing a number of failed login attempts from the machine into my Windows Domain. I disabled Automatic Service Discovery under the network settings but the logs continue to be filled. Are there any other things I can disable? I don't need to have access to our Windows network.

Thank you!

Welcome to Mint seag33k
Mint uses fusesmb to connect to a Windows network
You turn it off in MintDesktop and then your problems are gone
