Hi all,
I'm reminded of the day I bought my packard-bell with windows 3.1! Scared to death, but excited at the same time as I installed mint. Now I have to unlearn my "Windows" habits and begin anew once more. I've even purchased "Linux for Dummies" as a starting point in my Mint journey. But, most of the fun in a trip isn't arriving at your destination, its the journey getting there. So without further ado I take my first step into the life of Linux.
Mike

You're going to have a lot of fun, Mutt3661. With Linux I don't think you ever truly "get there". Every day I see questions on the forums from people who have used Linux since the 90's. The real fun is the interaction with the many thousands of other Linux users who are more than willing to help, and the satisfaction that comes from having more control over your own computer.Mutt3661 wrote:But, most of the fun in a trip isn't arriving at your destination, its the journey getting there.

Welcome aboard.
