Hello everyone!
My name is Chad and I am from LA, also a newbie to Linux and looking to learn. I am a current apple and former windows user . I have just found a Compaq Presario 1694 notebook in the back of my closet. Just for the record it has a 450 MHz AMD K6-2, 192 MB RAM, 6.5 GB HDD, USB 1.1, DVD/CD-ROM. I am wanting to know if anyone has done this or if they know how I would use this computer to start my introduction into becoming a Linux user. Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction and for your assistance.

Re: Hello everyone!
Welcome to Linux and LinuxMint.
I have an old Gateway with only 192 Mb of RAM ... happily running Crunchbang (Openbox) and Anti-X (Fluxbox) on it. Both distros are based on Debian 'testing'
