Hey Z-prime,

What GTK theme is that? or is it a custom tweak?

Do things like Office programs appear with black paper? Last time I tried a dark theme like that EVERYTHING went black and my wife made me change it back, so I'm just wondering if there's a solution.

Well, It's not Gnome. It's KDE. You can use dark themes and they work very well in KDE.

KDE also worked with my Netgear Dongle straight off the bat.
Plus it generally seems more polished than Gnome 2, with more bugs iron out than gnome 3....
Now I just have to convince my wife to let me change DEs AGAIN.

I'm really amazed by all the different and really cool desktops out there!
This is my favourite post on this forum so far, because \ it really shows all the different ways you can customise something as simple as the desktop in GNU/Linux ^_^
