I am not finding any bug reports that match what you describe... although I see reports in re issues with the Alps devices... but nothing that matches... Best I can see is that there are issues with some of the things that the alps can do that were not taken in to account and cause some issues.. but again it doesn't match what you describe... so I can not pin point a fix.. other that the drivers for it and/or an X.ORG conf change.andrew5859 wrote:I'm wondering if you've had a chance to look into that issue with the Alps P/S2 Dual Point Touchpad....I really like Mint, but if they don't (Devs, Canonical, etc.) fix this I'll have to go with something that is compatable with all the functions of my touchpad. You guys have done so well up to now with everything, but it seems that after version 9....they dropped the ball with functionality on certain things....this is very disappointing.
Have you tried the kubunutu release ISO to see if it resolves the issues in Live mode? Then you will know if the issue has been resolved when Kataya comes a calling.... but I have no laptop or other device that uses alps and have not for a long time so I can not replicate this...
