yeahh sorry for not being clear before:
- search for linux-headers-2.6.39-2-686-pae in synaptic, mark for installation and your nvidia drivers should be rebuild for the new kernel;
i will out until tmrw afternoon, but if you have any question, nunol for example should be able to help you

i went to synaptic and searched it requested two additional files

linux-kbuild-2.6.39
linux-headers-2.6.39-2-common
