I usually have to remaster any window$ at around the 18mth mark or it bogs down. Since then I'm now running LMDE and am very happy with it, installed the Win7HP on the other partition using my desktop copy since it's down for the count, mainly for any BIOs and firmware updates I might get. Then there are still some places I need to go that requires IE.

BTW: I like the splash paint wallpaper.

My desktop hasn't changed much.
thx :) as for win7, got nothing against it as long as it is in a VM ;) Although you're right, it's pretty ugly without Aero :D at least, it's great under the hood

thx, appreciate. You've done some awesome jobs yourself, always a pleasure to see these wonderful desktops!

And on a side note: who says Gnome 2.32 isn't still alive n kickin, at least visually :D

Cheers

Testing out the Macbuntu project, and it looks almost identical to a Mac (apart from small things that will always make it look like Linux)

Ok, this is my latest project, a total respin of Mint9, i took a base install, and then completely tore it down to its base, removed everything in it, changed some repos, and installed custom compiled versions of things like, the kernel, Gnome, firefox, and various apps, to what I wanted, so this is a totally custom linux, based off of Mint.
I am using a custom GTK theme that I made, and multiple conky scripts, that are started with a script. I am also screening a conky in from my server, using screen allows me to keep it running without having to have a terminal open running an ssh session.

All from my brief stint with LM9. I'll have some later. Also for some reason, only piece of the pictures show.

I love "Viper"'s work as well, the conky setup matches up really well with the background imo!

I don't think so. These are from the dev ppa. But no problems so far. I don't think plank (the dock) is as far along.

oh thanks, i really wanted to give slingshot launcher a try but at the same time didn't want to do any tweaking so i thought i would wait for the stable release. doesn't seem that far away now. BTW awesome use of both.
