Post by Jaysons » Wed Dec 05, 2007 3:59 pm

In my sudo gedit /etc/network/interfaces I have put

iface wlan0 inet static
wpa-ap-scan 1
wpa-pairwise TKIP
wpa-group TKIP
wpa-driver wext
wpa-key-mgmt WPA-PSK
wpa-proto WPA
wpa-ssid MY SSID

now This was written for Ubuntu, with a netgear router.. it should work with Mint right? Also I have a linksys router, is my addressing right?(address, netmask, gateway) somethings not working here is the link to what I'm trying to do.. ... -710-love/

Take a look at the wiki
specifically the sections
1.1 The first step
1.13 WPA
This is for DHCP make the necessary adjustments for a static IP
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
