Episode 81: No name?

Postby mariomiy » Tue Sep 06, 2011 6:46 am

Looks like mintcast is lacking ideas.
I am a Ubuntu user, but have heard good references about Mint.
How about a discussion on reasons to jump to Mint from another distribution?
You could interview some people who have already made the jump already.
People could make offers right here in the forum.

I am an Idahoan. I live in Hayden Lake, ID, 11 miles north of Coeur d'Alene, ID. 27 years ago I bailed out of the Bay Area and have never looked back. Yes, Linux is alive and well in North Idaho. We have an active user group (http://nilug.org/) and the company I work for uses Debian as the O/S for it's security network manager. There are lots of techies in this area - it's a very nice place to live and has a much lower cost of living than other areas.

Just saying that the comments about Idaho in this episode are a bit naive.
