Here in Germany Lisa is a really, really common name. Much more common than Laura :)

Yes, and in the Netherlands Julia is a common name. And Katya is common in Russia. So why do we need to use an uncommon name?

My suggestion for the name of "Linux Mint 12" is LUIZA :D !
Why LUIZA — can anyone ask?
Well ... First: Luiza (a variant of Lucy, from Latin) means ligth ("lux", the latin form).
Second, and very importantly, Luiza is the name of my seventh grandchild, the daughter of my daughter, Elice. And how bright is "my little Luiza"!
Linux Mint 12 is coming. Anyway, the fact is that "Linux Mint 12" is coming soon. And its arrival should be well prepared.
Finally, a number 12 is full of meaning: cultural, mathematical, mystical, sacred. Also, 12 is composed of the essential numbers 1 and 2, whose sum is 3.
Hence, 3 can be said the number of light. So ... LUIZA should be chosen for the name "Linux Mint 12". My suggestion, of course!
Post scriptum: Luiza — the same way as Katya — is a nice name to pronounce and so small to write.

I myself would like to suggest 'Lylia'.

But 'Luiza' which is suggested by @EgidioCampos would be possible.
Why do I say thus..., if you would like to know the reason, please refer the thread of comments on a post which was posted by @EgidioCampos in Mint Community.

Awwww! That was already used by Steve Jobs in his old Apple days for an iteration of an Apple puter.
"While the documentation shipped with the original Lisa only ever referred to it as The Lisa, officially, Apple stated that the name was an acronym for Local Integrated Software Architecture or "LISA".
LIMEADE anyone?

Nope, that is not a female name  Linux Mint has a tradition to give each release a female name.

Uh, I don't want any argument with your mother :D But, is this because you think she doesn't approve of giving female names to incorporeal things, or because you have a female relative called limeade? I'm a bit confused

The strangest female names I have heard:

Blossom (remember that show?)
Seven (she was actually in the Blossom show)
Soda (A George Costanza creation on Seinfeld I think?)
Seven of Nine (half human half Borg on Star Trek Voyager, and Good lord, a hot, hot babe!)
Eriah ( a friends little girl's name )
and last but not least....my Mom, Limeade, (pronounced Lim-ee-odd)

But alas, Lisa is welcome on my computer anytime :)

I think all (or almost all) referring to the reasons supporting this suggestion has been already pointed...
Welcome, so, Linux Mint 12 Luiza (if chosen, naturally...)!

Doesn't differ much from Luiza, does it? Just 2 letters.
