hidden to whom? to Linux? or to external devices?

You want the mtools package ... Contained in that package is a program called mattrib ... It will allow your Linux system to manipulate DOS file attributes. Please make sure you read the man page (man mattrib) and the documentation, e.g. here: http://www.mtools.linux.lu/

You did read the documentation, right? And you did edit the mtools config file as suggested there? ... :wink:
