Post by RETNUH » Wed Dec 28, 2011 6:07 pm

Post what your favorite band is and include a link to lyrics video of one of your favorites by them.

My favorite band is Seether. Its hard to choose one so I just took one that I like. Remedy - Seether

The Moody Blues

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nm22EQgaUtE
Blasting, billowing, bursting forth
With the power of ten billion butterfly sneezes
Man with his flaming pyre
Has conquered the wayward breezes
Climbing to tranquility
Far above the cloud
Conceiving the heavens
Clear of misty shroud

Higher and higher
Now we've learned to play with fire
Go higher and higher and higher

Vast vision must improve our sight
Perhaps at last we'll see and end
To our own endless blight
And the beginning of the free
Climb to tranquility
Finding it's real worth
Conceiving the heavens
Florishing on earth

Higher and higher
Now we've learned to play with fire
Go higher and higher and higher
Just one of the numbers I like
“Only when the last tree has been cut down, the last fish been caught, and the last stream poisoned, will we realize we cannot eat money.” ― Cree Indian Prophecy

Fleetwood Mac for old time music.
For real old time music, a local band, Union Jack, British Invasion. We will be seeing them this New Years Eve and a local place we dance at, a lot.

I like most music from classical to pop music [up to around 1985] I have a particular affinity to the hippy era and older country music But i also love

The idea that Bill Gates has appeared like a knight in shining armour to lead all customers out of a mire of technological chaos neatly ignores the fact that it was he who, by peddling second-rate technology, led them into it in the first place.

Thanks for the memories Wizard. I remember seeing Georgy Girl in the theaters when it was first released. And Spike Jones was a favorite when I was a kid.

Be Bop Deluxe, Bill Nelson.

Adventures in a Yorkshire Landscape, to name one of the many

Followed by Peter Green's original Fleetwood Mac lineup.

Pink Floyd.

My first tattoo was a 'Dark Side of the Moon' prism on my arm. :D (Dad was quite proud of that: I'd been raised with excellent musical taste thanks to all his old LPs. ;) )

Sunburst Finish was the last and only album I've known.

BN ranks up there with Brian May of Queen, IMO.

I don't have a favorite band. If you play me Zappa today, it's my favorite. Grateful Dead could be tomorrows. Patty Smith,
Miles Davis, SRV, Robben Ford, Fela Kuti, Hendrix, Phish, the early Fleetwoods, Peter Green, the three kings B.B Albert
Freddy, Joe Zawinul, Pharoah Sanders, Mari Boine, Traffic and and and are favorites if i listen them. Tonights favorite is
Cosmic Railroad.
I believe in everything, except humans.
